The categories listed below, while not inclusive, should give you an idea of the services I offer. Additionally, if you need a service that is not listed, please call or email for a quote. These services can be performed on hard copy, soft copy, or both.

  • Procedure:

    Typically, a writing or editing project begins with a meeting (or phone call) to determine the purpose, tone, style and language desired for the finished product. Depending on the size of the project, this meeting can take from a few minutes to several hours. After the conference, I will generate an email summary for your approval. I will then review all available material and contact the SME (subject matter expert) you designate to answer any technical questions I have regarding the material. Next, I will write or edit the material and submit it to you for initial review. You will review my edits, noting any problems, and we will have another conference to discuss them. I will incorporate and resubmit the changes to you with my total hours.

    Service Fees:

    The following is the fee schedule for all services:

  • Writing and editing are billed at $35 per hour
  • Research is billed at $20 per hour
  • Project management is billed at $35 per hour
  • Postage/shipping costs are billed at actual rates incurred.
  • All time will be billed in fifteen-minute increments.
    Payment is net 15 via PayPal or check payable to:

    Larger projects may require an initial deposit or partial payment before work begins.


    The following are typical rates for various editing and writing tasks:

  • Writing new text two pages per hour
  • Basic copyediting four pages per hour
  • Advanced editing two pages per hour
  • Reading ten pages per hour
  • Indexing four pages per hour
  • Researching varies
  • Project management fifteen percent of all other activities
  • Actual rates may vary, but you will receive a firm quote before work begins and will be notified of any problems as soon as they arise.

    Free Samples:

    Besides the samples located on this website, I will at my discretion provide you with writing or editing samples of your own material (usually one page or less).
